Hindquarters formally Bone & Rag is a high end dog accessory e-commerce website. Bone and Rag is a high end dog accessory e-commerce website.
All of their luxury dog accessories combine three important elements: beauty, comfort and practicality. The company philosophy is keen that the production process is environmentally progressive, and supportive of British craftsmanship and industry.
We were approached in 2011 by Bone & Rag to re-design the existing website and deliver the technology required for an advanced CMS driven Ecommerce website. The main requirements for this were that Bone and Rag could update and manage the products and stock themselves as well as having a quick and easy to use checkout for their customers.
All the images and content are fully managed via the PilotSite CMS as well as the stock levels and notification emails when products are ordered or dispatched. We achieved by developing and deploying the PilotSite CMS alongside the PilotShop ecommerce module which has been integrated to use their chosen payment vendor WorldPay.
The new website has been well received by both the business owners and both new and existing customers of the site. We created a fresh design and modern look that appealed to their target audience and have implemented a successful SEO marketing strategy to help increase their audience too.
In 2015 the Bone & Rag team decided to re-brand to Hindquarters. They again approached PilotBean to handle the re-branding, redesigning and the transition to the new site. Pilotbean worked together with the Hindquarters team to ensure a smooth experience for customers. During the re-design we also provided additional features such as a video blog, more advanced product searching, filtering and additional SEO work.
